Viareggio is tinged with pink with the Giro d'Italia. Wednesday 21 May the champions will start from the Belvedere delle maschere in Viareggio in the splendid Art Nouveau setting of the seaside avenue.

In the days leading up to the event, Viareggio will welcome you with its equipped or natural beaches and a high-level food and wine offering.

It will also be possible to visit the various points of interest in the city such as the Palazzo delle Muse, Villa Argentina, the Maritime Museum, the gallery of contemporary modern art, the Carnival citadel, Villa Puccini in Viareggio, the Puccini house museum in Torre del Lago, the Villa Museo Paolina Bonaparte, Villa Borbone and the important Viareggio nautical centre.

The passage of the Giro d'Italia through Viareggio represents one of the most important sporting moments that the city will experience in 2025 , but it is not the only one.

On Sunday 4th May the Carnival Citadel, the beach and the seaside avenue will be the stage for the 27th edition of the Granfondo della Versilia.

On August 15th the Firenze Viareggio will start, the historic and traditional cycling race for under 24s that every year brings together international cycling amateurs.

In September, the Italian youth double-handed sailing championships will be held in the nautical club area.
The third edition of FIF 4x4, the international off-road fair, returns in October.
In October it will be the turn of the XVII gathering of historic sails.

These are events that involve the best national and international athletes of the different disciplines represented.
