There are many routes to take, we will list some of them:
From Viareggio to Marina Massa on the Versilia cycle path (E-BiKE, Trekking, MTB, Racing bike)
The simplest but most fascinating cycling itinerary is the one that passes along the Versilia seafront.

you cross Lido di Camaiore, Marina di Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi, Il Cinquale, to reach Marina di Massa.

From the sea of Viareggio to Lake Massaciuccoli
(itinerary to be done by bicycle or mountain bike or E-BIKe)
Continue along the sea to the eastern pine forest of Viareggio where the first unpaved road begins.
Immersed in the greenery and scent of pine trees you reach Torre del Lago Puccini on the west coast of Lake Massaciuccoli , where it is possible to visit Giacomo Puccini's house and the large open-air theater dedicated to him.
Starting again following the new cycle paths including the " Lotus Flowers ", a splendid road built at times above the lake among the Lotus Flowers until reaching Massarosa .
Once you reach the town of Massaciuccoli you arrive at the LIPU Oasis where it is possible to spot various species of rare and beautiful birds hidden among the huts.
With approximately 700 meters of walkway that winds through the reeds and sedge thickets you can admire the dangerous Marsh Harrier, small passerines such as the River Nightingale and the Chestnut Forapaglie or where the Little Bittern, symbol of the Oasis, nests.
The destination is near and finally a bit of well-deserved rest sitting at the table of the restaurant on the east side of the lake will be able to delight our palate with a lunch based on typical Tuscan cold cuts and tordelli. On the way back it is possible to visit the "Roman Massaciuccoli" archaeological area with the Thermal District and the Mosaic with fantastic animals.

From Viareggio to reach the S. Rossore Natural Park.
Crossing one of the most beautiful pine forests in Italy. With the bicycle we can travel along roads and paths that would otherwise be prohibited.
In the 75 km we did (but don't be too scared of kilometres) we only touched the asphalt for 5% of the route and we crossed sunflower fields and unknown lakes, we cycled and met wild boars and deer, herons and turtles.
We stopped to listen to the silence of the forest and savored the smells of the pine forest, enjoyed the shade of the pines, some of them centuries-old, and sometimes we even took photos to remember those beautiful moments.
