Viareggio seafront
Enjoy a wonderful walk under the Viareggio sun!
Viareggio seafront: between architecture, shopping and sunsets over the sea, experience the magic of the Viale a mare. You are welcome, have a nice walk.
The Lungomare di Viareggio or the avenues of the Viareggio promenade are two long endless parallel ribbons that run along the sea divided by a strip of gardens, which starting from the Burlamacca Canal
they stretch up to the Marco Polo and extend up to the Fossa dell'Abate passing through the Terrazza della Repubblica.
The Viareggio Carnival takes place on the coast of Viareggio, also called Viale Margherita or Viale Manin. During the month of February, gigantic allegorical floats come to life, cheering up both visitors and citizens of Viareggio with its folklore.
No matter how much you travel the world, an Italian seafront as beautiful as the one in Viareggio is difficult to admire. On one side of the seaside avenue we find commercial activities of all kinds, boutiques and shops of the most prestigious Italian, European and international high fashion brands. Winking, mischievous windows, always well-kept, but not sumptuous, sober, classic, varied and pleasant.
The "Paseggiata" with its majesty is certainly one of the things worth seeing in Viareggio and walking on warm summer evenings will give you the feeling that it wants to hold you in a sinuous embrace, welcome you and give you emotions. The architectural styles that can be admired while walking also contribute to this; just raise your eyes to see villas, cafés, chalets, beach resorts and hotels on the seafront in Art Nouveau or Deco style which create an almost magical atmosphere, a unique beauty. Reason for pride for the people of Viareggio and for those who choose to do tourism in Viareggio.
Every hundred meters if you pay attention, a glimpse of the sea opens up where you can admire the Tyrrhenian Sea, among the buildings or you can perhaps see the sun setting .
In addition to being a place that invites you to holiday and shop, the Viareggio seafront is dotted with clubs, bars that offer interesting aperitifs, which can almost fill you up, and ice cream parlors that convince you to stop for a refreshing and delicious ice cream al fresco in the their veranda while people continue to walk, and lastly there are a large number of pizzerias and restaurants , typical Italian cuisine but respecting the Viareggio seafood tradition, with recipes handed down from generation to generation, which will enchant you and delight your palate.
